What is Christianity all about?

Well, it's not about a religion,
It's not about going to church on a Sunday,
It's not about being a good person,
It's not about following a lot of rules,
It's not about some out of date ideals,
It's not even about wearing sandals! (but u can if u want)

So what is Christianity all about?

It's about Jesus Christ.

God Loves Me

If you're a member of the human race then God loves you; not just with any old 'love' but with a love that will last forever (Jeremiah 31v3)

I Have Sinned

Every human being has failed to meet the perfect standard of God's goodness and righteousness. (Romans 3v23). We have failed because we have done things our way, not God's way. God's law is like a pane of glass; it's either broken or it isn't. It's no good saying "I only lied, I never stole". James 2v10 says "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." This is called sin. Every sin has both consequences and penalty!

So we all have a big problem. We have all sinned and because God is perfectly just, this sin means we must all face spiritual death and eternal separation from God; what the Bible calls Hell! If you're unhappy about this you'll be pleased to know that because of His great love for you, God was even more unhappy with the situation (2 Peter 3v9).

Jesus Died For Me

Ever since man had first sinned, God had planned a permanent solution. The ultimate sacrifice that could pay the punishment for everyone's sin and see justice done. The plan was this, to send his own son, Jesus Christ, to be born as a human baby and live on this earth leading a perfect, sinless life, and when He had done this, to voluntarily offer His own life as a sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sin.
